Our paid Summer Intern Programme looks to recruit undergraduates whatever their year of study at University. Our aim is to offer long term career opportunities, so there is a very real potential for our interns to return and join our graduate programme in future years.
We offer internships for substantial work experience in Engineering, Technology, Broadcasting, Project Management and Safety, Health & Environment.
Many of our internships are open to candidates whatever their degree subject. It’s about wanting to join the digital revolution and understand how we at Arqiva connect people for an enriched and safer life.
“It's been an amazing experience. I have learnt so much about the Structural Engineering sector and a huge amount about myself. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in my internship this summer, and to all the other interns for making my time in Winchester even more enjoyable!"
If you are looking for an opportunity that will challenge, develop and inspire you, Arqiva is the place for you. We are looking for people who are passionate about working in one of the most interesting industries out there. It is not all about your qualifications, we want to know whether you have the drive and commitment to succeed in our business.
We encourage innovation and ingenuity, support each other and are passionate about developing and rewarding talent. We are very proud of our culture that enables everyone to fulfil their potential and enjoy playing their part in helping us to achieve our future ambitions whilst delivering for our customers.
"I would recommend Arqiva for the levels of trust and responsibility I was given and supportive work culture which allowed me to add real value during my time here.”
Firstly, we will ask you to complete an online application form to find out a bit more about you and to check that you’re eligible for the programme. You’ll be able to tell us about your education and reasons for applying.
If you’re successful at this stage, we’ll invite you to a telephone interview. We’ll be looking at your compatibility with Arqiva’s values as well as your reasons for applying to our programme. In preparation think about what your key skills and strengths are, examples of when you might have demonstrated these, and how they might be relevant to the business area you are applying for.
If you are successful at the telephone interview stage, we’ll invite you to an Assessment Centre at our headquarters Crawley Court, Winchester. This will involve a further interview and group exercises.
Ahead of the telephone interview and any subsequent stages we will give you advice and tips to enable you to prepare as well as possible. We want to see the best of you.
Giving you straightforward feedback is also really important to us. So, if you are unsuccessful at either the telephone interview or assessment centre stage, we’ll give you helpful feedback to build on for future applications. We also like to differentiate ourselves from other companies by making our decisions quickly and letting you know the outcome within a week of your Assessment Centre.
"I had such an amazing time with everyone in my team and within the company being so kind and willing to help. I learnt so much from my short time here and can’t wait to apply it to my studies as I return for my third year at university and also to my future career."
You must be on track for a 2:1 in your degree and/or have a minimum of 280/112 UCAS points.
Some of the roles may require a driver’s licence.
When applying for an internship, which may lead onto a graduate programme, please be advised that if you don’t have the required ‘permission to work’ on graduation Arqiva are unable to sponsor visas.
Unfortunately applications for our 2019 intern programme closed on 20 February 2019, but to register your interest in any of our future talent programmes (intern, graduate or apprentice) please send an email to email@example.com.
