Arqiva shortlisted for ‘Education Initiative of the Year’

We’re excited to announce that we’ve been named a Finalist at the British Data Awards 2026.

The British Data Awards is an annual quest that sets out to discover and celebrate the UK’s data success stories. This year organisations taking part include fresh-faced start-ups, not-for-profits, technology unicorns, government departments, FTSE 100 heavyweights, and everything in between.

Data Awards finalistWith a record 462 entries submitted for the sixth edition of the British Data Awards, competition to be named a Finalist was pretty tough, so we’re especially delighted to be announced as a Finalist.

Dom Wedgwood, Arqiva CTO, said: “Being shortlisted for the British Data Awards in the ‘Education Initiative of the Year’ category is a strong endorsement of the progress we’ve made in building data capability across Arqiva. Through initiatives such as our Data Summer School, ‘Diving Deeper into Data’ programme and our network of Data Enablement Ambassadors, we’re helping colleagues build the confidence and skills needed to use data effectively in their day to day roles.”

“This recognition reflects the curiosity and commitment of colleagues across the business, as well as the dedication of the teams supporting them. We’re building a strong, sustainable data culture that strengthens decision making, deepens customer insight and supports our ambition to continue advancing data and AI literacy across the organisation.”

Jason Johnson, Managing Director of Predatech and British Data Awards judge said, “I’d like to extend my congratulations to all the Finalists. The sheer ingenuity, ambition and impact demonstrated by the nominations has impressed the judging panel once again. I’m looking forward to showcasing the Finalists and their data success stories at the best night in data in May.”

This year the British Data Awards features a range of categories, including the ever competitive ‘Data for Good Initiative of the Year’ and ‘Innovation of the Year.’ Alongside categories designed to celebrate the achievements of organisations, the British Data Awards also showcase the role of individuals and teams, through categories like ‘Data Team of the Year’, ‘Data Leader of the Year’ and ‘Rising Star of the Year.’

Finalists will be celebrated, and Winners announced, at an awards ceremony due to take place on the 20th of May at The Brewery, London.
