PBS America launches on Freeview
American factual programming channel launches on channel 94
UK, London, 13 December 2017; PBS America, the British TV channel from America’s Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) today launches on Freeview channel 94. The announcements marks Freeview’s 12th and final channel launch of 2017.
Since launching in the UK, PBS America has carved out a niche in quality, factual programming, including showcasing the American public service broadcaster's multi-award-winning NOVA, FRONTLINE and American Experience strands.
Highlights this Christmas and New Year include the brand-new FRONTLINE investigation, PUTIN'S REVENGE (9pm, Friday 22 December), the four-part American Experience WALT DISNEY (Christmas Eve), as well as PBS's highest rating TV series ever, THE CIVIL WAR (Saturday 30 December) and JAZZ (New Year's Day) both by legendary filmmaker, Ken Burns.

2017 Channel launches: Asia TV, Bollywood HD, BT Showcase HD, CBS Action +1, Forces TV, FreeSports, More4+1, Quest Red, Quest Red+1, QVC HD, Rocks and Co, Sports Channel Network.
Freeview is the biggest and best loved TV platform in the UK. Giving viewers access to 70 TV channels, 15 HD channels at no cost and over 25 radio stations through an aerial. The service is free from subscription, so there’s no monthly cost. Freeview launched its connected TV service, Freeview Play, in 2015 which gives viewers the choice to watch what they want, when they want in a simple way. As with all Freeview products, it’s subscription free and works with all existing broadband providers.
