Making digital happen
We touch every strand of the UK’s Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT) ecosystem. It can be complex, but we make it easy for our customers to access Freeview, the UK’s largest terrestrial free-to-air (FTA) TV platform along with the other services that make up the UK’s DTT landscape.
We are a founder shareholder in Freeview and play an active role in key industry bodies such as Digital UK and Digital TV Group (DTG). We also work closely with the regulatory bodies and policy makers.
When it comes to giving you a digital platform for your content, we’re always there, always connected.
Viewers love Freeview
Freeview is the UK’s most popular TV platform, with 95% of the most watched programmes available with no monthly costs.
With plug and play simplicity, viewers have easy access to free, quality content: most with access to more than 70 TV channels, 15 HD channels and over 25 radio stations. The platform also continues to evolve with the launch of Freeview Play.
Freeview is a major part of the growing DTT landscape
Freeview is the largest component of an ever-popular and growing ecosystem which makes up FTA terrestrial television in the UK. Free-to-air DTT also underpins other subscription and internet-connected TV packages such as Youview, BT, TalkTalk and Sky’s NOW TV Smart Box which launched in 2016.
For more information about what the UK’s DTT platform has to offer please see the links below:
Arqiva is inviting interested parties to submit an expression of interest for the auction of national DTT standard definition television slot - suitable for Free to Air (FTA) linear TV services. The television slot will be for up to 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The slot will be available from a mutually agreed date and is suitable for television services only and not for radio, data or other non-TV services.
