  • Arqiva to provide live broadcasting facilities from the ING dealing-room floor in Amsterdam
  • Enables analysts and economists to offer immediate TV interviews across Europe
  • Solution includes fixed-point camera facility as well as playout services

Arqiva is providing ING Wholesale Banking with live broadcasting facilities from its Amsterdam dealing-room floor. A fixed-point camera will be installed to enable ING's network of researchers, analysts and economists to do ‘down the line' TV interviews with broadcasters across Europe. Arqiva will also provide playout services to enable the distribution of interviews worldwide. The camera facility will be the first to operate on a dealing-room floor in the Netherlands and will extend ING's network of cameras in London and Singapore.

Arqiva's solution will include a point-to-point circuit from ING in Amsterdam to Arqiva's London facilities hub, which in turn connects to BT Tower for onward distribution to broadcasters.

David van Eeghen at ING Wholesale Banking said, "We work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business and it's important for us to be able to respond to developments in European stock markets and economies almost immediately. Arqiva's fixed-point solution means that we can talk to broadcasters and audiences within minutes by removing the need to bring in outside broadcasting facilities."

James Trevelyan, head of enterprise sales at Arqiva's Satellite Media Solutions division added: "Fixed-point camera facilities have proved to be an invaluable resource for our customers, enabling them to lead the dialogue with broadcasters and their audiences. We're delighted to be working with ING Wholesale Banking to deliver this facility, the first of its kind on a trading floor in the Netherlands."
