- Arqiva chosen to uplink leading European news channel via its Eurobird satellite until 2013
- EuroNews the latest channel to be broadcast on Arqiva's 28.2°/28.5° transponder

Arqiva today announced that it has secured a contract with EuroNews to facilitate the channel's free-to-air distribution in seven languages to the entire UK digital cable and satellite market. EuroNews, Europe's leading news service, covers world news from a European perspective. The news channel will be uplinked via Arqiva's recently acquired 28.2°/28.5° transponder on the Eurobird satellite until the end of the satellite's life in 2013.
