  • Accredited supplier of radio communication solutions to government departments, emergency services and other public sector bodies'

Arqiva's Public Safety division today announced that it has been selected by the trading arm of the Office of Government Commerce, OGCbuying.solutions, to join a list of accredited suppliers for central government departments and the wider public sector.

The OGC's Framework Programme is designed to provide government departments, the emergency services, local councils and other public sector bodies with access to a list of accredited suppliers, therefore minimising the time and resources taken up in often lengthy procurement processes. By enabling the public sector to quickly and easily select the supplier that best suits their needs, the Framework Programme helps to meet the demand for efficiency and value for money in public sector commercial activities.

Arqiva's award falls under the Specialist Solutions Framework Agreement meaning that the Public Safety division will be able to offer fully managed, end-to-end radio communications and microwave service solutions to public sector organisations. Arqiva qualified for the Specialist Solutions Framework by meeting a series of stringent criteria, with the company's ability to provide end-to-end solutions to address specific Information and Communication Technology (ICT) objectives a key consideration. Value for money and the ability to offer the best balance of quality and whole-life cost of the project were also important factors in the award.
