Crown Castle announces 12-year agreement with TWG Emap Digital

WARWICK -March 24, 2004 - Crown Castle International, one of the UK's leading network infrastructure management companies, has announced that it has signed a 12-year agreement with TWG Emap Digital to roll-out and operate the group's new DAB (digital radio) multiplex for Stoke-on-Trent.
As part of the agreement Crown Castle will be responsible for building and operating the broadcast infrastructure from studio to transmission site. This includes establishing and operating a multiplexing centre for the new services.
TWG Emap Digital was awarded the licence for the new digital service in February 2003 and plans to launch in April this year with five radio services.
Michael Franklin for TWG Emap Digital said: "We chose Crown Castle as our partner for this project because of their track record in the rapid deployment of digital radio. We have worked together on a number of projects and we knew they would deliver."
