Derek joined Arqiva's predecessor NTL Broadcast in 1998 and is now responsible for a team who provide Human Resources support throughout Arqiva.  The team is made up of Training & Development and operational HR staff.

His duties include advising the Board on matters relating to employee relations, reward, resourcing, learning and development and liaison with BECTU.

His previous employers include Tambrands where he was Human Resources Manager, responsible for providing full HR support for UK and overseas employees.

Derek holds a Diploma in Personnel Management and is married with two children.
