Managing Director, Business Operations

Doug is the managing director of Business Operations, which is responsible for all Arqiva’s service delivery to existing customers.

Prior to joining Arqiva Doug was a Board Director of Care UK plc, responsible for its Social Care division. Previous to that Doug enjoyed 11 years at VT Group plc where he was a key player in the strategic development of its highly successful support services activities. A member of the VT Group Executive Committee, Doug spent 7 years as Managing Director of VT Communications with customers including the BBC World Service, many international broadcasters, national security agencies and Arqiva. VT Communications delivered wireless and IT infrastructure services, both project based and under long term contracts such as PFI/PPP.

Before joining VT Communications Doug spent 18 months at Elementis plc in a corporate development role executing acquisitions and disposals.

Doug qualified as an accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and then spent 4 years at 3i, the private equity group, investing in entrepreneurial businesses.
