Management Profile: Derek Bradbury

Group HR Director

Derek has been Group HR Director since Arqiva was created in 2005. As a member of the Arqiva management board, Derek reports directly to the chief executive and is responsible for all aspects of HR across Arqiva, as well as employee development, internal communications and Safety, Health and Environment.

Derek has led Arqiva’s HR function through three major acquisitions –Inmedia, which took place within five months of Arqiva’s creation, BT’s satellite broadcasting business in 2007, and the former National Grid Wireless also in 2007.

In addition to supporting these activities during this period, Derek has played a key role in defining Arqiva’s Vision and led the work to define the company’s Values.

Before 2005 Derek held roles in HR within NTL and was appointed as HR Director to the NTL Broadcast business in 2004. He was part of the management team that participated in the sale process that transitioned NTL Broadcast to Arqiva as a standalone company.

Prior to moving to the engineering and technology sector, Derek worked with Proctor & Gamble having started his career in the consumer goods sector with Tambrands.
