Director Profile: Alain Carrier

Alain leads the CPP Investment Board's Private Investments activities in the EMEA region. Alain joined CPPIB in January 2008 and is based in London.

With more than 15 years of financial industry experience, Alain was previously Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. in their Investment Banking division in New York and London. Prior to that, he was an associate at the New York-based law firm, Sullivan & Cromwell.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws LL.B. from Laval University in Quebec City, a Masters in Law (D.E.S.S.) from the Sorbonne in Paris and a Masters in Law from Columbia University LL.M.
