In line with our corporate goals and values, we look to provide stable employment and growth opportunities for all of our employees, fostering a culture of respect for the environment we work within and recognition of the positive impact we can have from a charitable and community perspective. The health, safety and wellbeing of our employees is of paramount importance to us and we also look to maximise employment opportunities for local communities around our offices and sites.

Some of our achievements to date include:

• 20 employees from all parts of the business have volunteered to take part in STEMnet (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Network) to promote the benefits and applications of STEM subjects and encourage more school children and young people to follow them for longer
• Staff supported World Space Week activity at the Intech science centre near Winchester, where we deployed a satellite newsgathering truck. Young visitors were able to see and hear themselves on TV, beamed into space and back at the speed of light, and observe the propagation delay for a round trip of 72,000 km (over 44,000 miles)
• We’re encouraging our people to take up community roles such as magistrates, youth workers, hospital volunteers, school governors and special constables
• Our 23 apprentices spent a day clearing rubbish, painting locks and staining fencing at the Coventry canal
