Summary of Role: To provide professional drawing services relating to the installation, maintenance and operation of broadcast and telecommunications equipment and associated infrastructure, ensuring that designs comply with statutory and customer requirements and specifications.
To effectively and efficiently produce drawings for all business units ensuring that designs provide cost effective solutions and that all work is carried out within time, quality and cost constraints.
Key Objectives:
To prepare general arrangement, planning, construction, structural and detail design drawings
To assist with site surveys including buildings and electrical installations and contribute to clear and concise reports
To maintain the Arqiva Master Drawing System by auditing the relevant AutoCAD files produced using the system, both within the company and within vendor organisations, producing drawings on behalf of the company
May supervise the work of more junior technicians and sub-contractors
To represent the company's interests in front of customers
To maintain accurate site records information
To maintain Arqiva and customer quality standards, and to adhere to existing process and procedures
To keep abreast of current legislation, regulations and guidelines relating to role
To take on other duties, from time to time as demand dictates, outside normal job description role
Skills/Competencies:
Competent in requirements for general arrangement, planning and design drawings for site-share installations
Fully conversant in the use of Microsoft Office and Corporate Databases
Technical Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
Experience of CAD Office practice, procedure and related computer software
CDM Regulations and Health & Safety compliance awareness/experience
Previous demonstrable related drawing experience in Telecommunications and Broadcast areas
