Arqiva has two new apprenticeship schemes in our Operations and Satellite Media Solutions divisions.
As an apprentice with Arqiva Operations, you will help us serve a diverse range of TV, radio and public safety customers across the UK on a 24x7 basis, providing business critical support. Our customers include ITV, Channel 4 and Five, as well as an extensive list of commercial radio stations. We also provide mission critical services to over 100,000 police, fire and ambulance and other public safety personnel across the UK. The team also supports the business development, project deployment and customer service of our business units.
As an apprentice with Satellite Media Solutions, you will help us deliver end-to-end capability ranging from outside broadcasts, satellite newsgathering, studios, playout, satellite distribution and terrestrial transmission.
What would I be doing?
Operations apprentices will follow an Advanced Apprenticeship, combining a relevant vocational qualification and a Technical Certificate with on the job experience.
Satellite Media Solutions apprentices will follow a Higher Apprenticeship, mixing on-the-job experience with a relevant vocational qualification and a Foundation degree.

Are there opportunities near my home?
Opportunities exist for Operations apprentices in South London (Nine Elms and Croydon), Midlands (Lichfield/Britannia Park), the north west of England (St Helens/Winter Hill), north Wales (Deeside/Moel-y-Parc), Marley Hill (Northumbria) and Emley Moor near Huddersfield.
Opportunities exist for Satellite Media Solutions apprentices in Chalfont Grove (Buckinghamshire), Feltham (Surrey), London Docklands, Bedford and Winchester.
What qualifications will I get?
In both schemes you'll complete a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in your first year which will assess you against nationally recognised standards.
In addition, our Advanced Apprentices will study a relevant technical certificate (e.g. BTEC) to provide them with the essential knowledge and understanding needed fulfil an operational role.
Our Higher Apprentices will study a relevant Foundation Degree at one of our partner colleges/universities

What qualifications do I need?
As an Operations apprentice, you'll need to have a minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent qualifications at Grade C or above (including Maths, English and Science) and either hold a full driving licence or have the ability to gain one within 12 months of joining us.
As a Satellite Media Solutions apprentice, you'll need a minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent qualifications at Grade C or above (including Maths, English & Science) plus a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent at Grade C or above and either hold a full driving licence or have the ability to gain one within 12 months of joining us.
