Director Profile: Peter Douglas BSc (Eng) MIET
Peter Douglas has almost 40 years' experience in the broadcast transmission and wireless industry.
Peter began his career with Marconi, then moved to the British Broadcasting Corporation and afterwards the UK's Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA), where he later assumed responsibility for the design and operation of all the Authority's transmission networks. Leading up to the privatisation of IBA's Engineering division, Peter defined the strategy for cultural and organisational change and became Group Managing Director for the newly formed Broadcast and Radio Communications division of ntl.
Peter was appointed as Managing Director of ntl's UK Broadcast business in 1996, and later became Executive Chairman, stepping down in 2008.
Peter is currently a Director of Arqiva, a Director of Broadcast Australia, and is also a Director of Channel 5 Engineering Services in the UK.
